Catbeard the Pirate!

As longtime readers will know, Catbeard’s relationship with merfolk never really did improve.

So, I’ve been thinking about the comic a lot these days. Catbeard has evolved from a single-page gag strip to being a long-form story strip. And I don’t think that’s a bad thing, but I do think it might be time for a change in update style.
Starting with the next storyline, Catbeard will not update weekly. I haven’t decided exactly how I’ll be doing things yet, but my hope is that the comic will improve because of it. In order to keep to my twice-weekly updates, I’ve occasionally had to make sacrifices in the art, and sometimes they’re not sacrifices I’m happy making. Frankly, I’d rather put less content online that I’m more proud of than vice versa.
I know some folks may not like this change, but I think it’ll be a good one. And of course, keep an eye out for the next Kickstarter. Still working on it!
